Through their Reznor brand, Thomas & Betts Corporation produce a wide variety of heating systems intended mainly for the large-scale industrial and commercial market. That being said, Reznor does include some heat products intended for residential application and their V3 hanging furnace products are one of their superior offerings. The Reznor V3 series gas-fired unit heaters are ideal when it comes to producing heat in an open space not connected to a conventional central heating system. They work well in an exterior or detached garage, greenhouse, attic storage space, recently furnished basement or other area.
Reznor V3 hanging furnaces are available in a variety of models to meet different consumer needs. The smallest heat units can produce up to 30,000 BTUs while the larger models can produce in excess of 150k BTUs. Even the largest units get at least 82% thermal efficiency, but an 83% rating is more common. All the Reznor V3 hanging furnaces are equipped with the patent-pending T-CORE2 ® titanium stabilized aluminized steel heat exchanger and single burner combustion system, a new standard for hanging furnace systems. They also include single-stage gas valve, multi-try direct spark ignition with 100% lockout, pressure switch to verify vent flow, isolated venter motor, venter wheel with improved housing, isolated axial fan and motor assembly and a high temperature limit control. V3 hanging furnaces 125k BTUs or smaller come with a flame rollout safety switch.
No matter which model a homeowner chooses, every Reznor V3 hanging furnace is easier to install than competitor brands. A V3 can be suspended from 2 or 4 installation points or with an optional hanger kit. A low voltage strip allows wiring to be easily connected without the removal of cabinet panels and all units feature easy gas service connections. A V3 hanging furnace can also operate on propane or natural gas, an option allowing buyers to customize the unit to their needs.
