The Aqua-Pure cartridges have a sturdy, rigid construction that can withstand any stressful conditions such as high pressure drop and water hammer conditions. It can even use hot & cold water (up to a temperature of100° f). Moreover, they are manufactured from FDA (CFR 21) Compliant Materials through an exclusive process by using pure white cellulose fibers. When water passes from the outer surfaces to the center of its cartridge, the filtering pores tend to become increasingly smaller in size that helps in removing even smallest microscopic particles. This advanced filter helps in preventing and protecting hot water heaters from scale build-up, thereby decreasing the hot water efficiency up to 40%. The cartridges have to be replaced every 3-4 months and work on a turn off and turn on mechanism. You can bleed pressure from the unit by depressing the red button on top of unit and take away housing by sliding wrench up toward head and then turning left to unscrew.
