Cuno Aqua-Pure AP1001 Whole House Filter (2-Pack) is a specialty filter designed to remove extra fine dirt, silt, and rust particles from your water. It is made from an exclusive process using pure white celluose fibers. As water passes from the outer surfaces into the center of the cartridge, the filtering pores become increasingly smaller to remove even microscopic particles. Unlike string-wound and pleated paper cartridges and the rigid, sturdy construction of the Aqua-Pure cartridges are able to withstand high pressure drop and stressful conditions such as water hammer. Housings for the CUNO Aqua-Pure AP-1001 Water Filter include AquaPure AP101S, AP101T, AP102T, AP102S, AP11S, AP11S, AP11S and AP11T Whole House System as well as AquaPure AP12T, AP12S, AP1610, AP2610, AP51T, SS1-SS12, SS20-SS36, AP1610SS and AP2610SS System. The Cuno Aqua-Pure AP1001 Whole House Filter is made from FDA (CFR 21) Compliant Materials. Rigid Construction Withstands Stressful Conditions; 1 Micron Nominal Filtration; 8 gpm Flow Rate; and Extra Fine Sediment Filtration are other features. It replaces the Aqua-Pure AP109 Water Filter. The device needs to be replaced every 3-4 months.
