Culligan / Pentek S1 Sediment Filter

The Pentek / Culligan S1 Water Filter has a nominal micron rating of 20 and a product dimension of 2 5/8" x 9 3/4" (67mm x 248mm). This sediment water filter is manufactured using a pleated cellulose media and is highly helpful and effective to be used for filtering general water. S1 series of water filter can also be used as a direct replacement to the GE FXWPC and WHCF-WHPL by Whirlpool. The economically S1 cartridges are very much proficient in reducing sediment particles lower than the size of 20-microns. The media of this product is provided with added strength by pleating it around with polypropylene core. The ends of this media are again dipped in a thermo-setting vinyl plastisol and each of its ends are embedded and sealed so that the three components fuses together to form a unitized end cap and gasket. For retaining uniform pleat spacing in pulsating flow streams and high flow, an external netted sheath is provided. There is an overlap seam that is welded sonically to decrease bypass. This increases its filtration efficiency.
