DESCRIPTION
The LE series boiler is a low mass, design engineered to allow quick, low energy start-up and up to 86.7% A.F.U.E. operating efficiency. The design incorporates a Beckett® AFG series flame retention burner, cast iron reversing chamber and spiral turbulators to assure best combustion and heat extraction qualities. The burner is mounted on a reversible cast iron swing door for ease of service and maintenance and a dip tube is factory installed for easy air elimination from the water system. Warranties consist of lifetime limited on the heat exchanger and 1 year limited on entire boiler. The LE boiler is stocked with conventional controls, Burnham’s exclusive EC5000 microprocessor control, a complete comfort system monitor which provides zone control of up to 4 zones, adjusts boiler temperature according to outside temperature to maintain lowest possible water temperature required for desired comfort level, shuts down boiler before room temperature is satisfied allowing boiler to purge remaining heat and avoid temperature over-run, controls domestic hot water production, and provides programmable night setback functions. EC5000 is available as an accessory. The microprocessor unit receives input from remote room temperature units (RTU) instead of conventional thermostats and an outdoor temperature sensor. The outdoor sensor and 2 RTU’s are included with the EC5000. Additional RTU’s can be ordered separately. This is an excellent alternative to other “Low Mass” systems. When combined with an Alliance™ high efficiency indirect water heater, provides the utmost in high efficiency space heating with domestic water heating. Other standard features of the LE boiler include ASME relief valve, Honeywell R8184G cad cell relay, high limit control, Taco 007 circulator, and deluxe insulated jacket. Equiguard® Extended Service Agreements are available for Burnham Boilers.
