DESCRIPTION
This microprocessor control from Burnham is the heart of a complete home comfort system, combined with a high efficiency boiler and Alliance™ indirect water heater. The EC5000 provides zone control of up to 4 zones, adjusts boiler temperature according to outside temperature to maintain lowest possible water temperature required for desired comfort level, shuts down boiler before room temperature is satisfied allowing boiler to purge remaining heat and avoid temperature over-run, controls domestic hot water production, and provides programmable night setback functions. The microprocessor unit receives input from remote room temperature units (RTU) instead of conventional thermostats and an outdoor temperature sensor. The outdoor sensor and 2 RTU’s are included with the EC500. Additional RTU’s can be ordered separately.
